In any learning environment, a child's response varies based on their dominant learning style, temperament, age, and developmental ability. Some may chose to sit in your lap and observe quietly, while others may move and dance enthusiastically. It may appear that your child is not "paying attention" as they are drawn to explore and play, especially with many distractions of a group setting. We know that little ones learn through play and observation, which is why your role in the class is so valuable. Parents are encouraged to participate by singing and following along during classes, providing the model for class participation and immersing their little one in a musical environment.

The Music Together® program is tailored to provide a variety of musical experiences in class and at home during the week, and we provide a variety of ways to implement this program in your home in a way that works for your family. Throughout the session, your teacher will help you tune in to your child's musical behaviors, so that you can support their musical growth and development. 

You are your child's best teacher! No matter how you might feel about the sound of your own voice, to your child it is the best sound in the world. Just as our children grow into more confident and competent music makers, with practice and continued music activities at home your skill can improve as well.

So, get silly, sing loudly, and dance like your toddler is watching! 

The safety of our Songful Families, as well as the safety of our local community is our top priority. 

We comply with local and state masking guidelines, as well as standard best practices established by medical authorities:

Music Together Songful Beginnings reserves the right to change or adjust these requirements as determined by state and local authorities, as well as personal choice.

Regular Tuition includes 8 scheduled class sessions, there is no refund for classes missed by a student. You may makeup an absence by attending another class time. One additional "Makeup" or "Bonus" class is scheduled at the end of the semester. Absences and make up classes should occur in the same semester, and be coordinated through the director.  

In the event of class cancellation due to COVID-19 virus, extreme weather, or other uncontrollable circumstances:

If possible, our first option for health and safety is to move INDOOR classes to an outdoor location. In-person classes have the option to be held online via Zoom at the scheduled class time.

We'll provide support and communication for you given a change of circumstances or social gathering restrictions. Every effort will be made to continue to provide the opportunity for our Songful Families to make music together.
