It's never too early to start...the perfect introduction for a lifetime of music

Our 45 minute class is held at Level Up Jiu Jitsu Academy-  so you can kick off your shoes and sit comfortably on the padded mat. 

We enjoy a relaxed pace and atmosphere. Your teacher will facilitate you and the other families in singing to your babies, as well as provide education and examples of ways to help support music development- which supports all development!

We get up and dance, play with shakers, drums, and rhythm instruments. Most importantly we allow the babies to socialize and observe their surroundings.

In any learning environment, a child's response varies based on their dominant learning style, temperament, age, and developmental ability. Some may chose to sit in your lap and observe quietly, while others may move and dance enthusiastically. Most babies are wide eyed and captivated by so many new sights and sounds! 

Throughout the session, your teacher will help you tune in to your child's musical behaviors, so that you can support their musical growth and development. 

The safety of our Songful Families and local community is our top priority. Although there are inherit risks of illness in group class settings- We currently implement the following specific safety protocols: 

• Class size is limited
• Classroom space allows ample room for distancing and proper airflow
• We offer generous make-up class policies and encourage families to stay home in the case of illness
• Instruments are single use and we attempt to limit sharing. Families are welcome to bring their own rhythm instruments from home to use in class.
• Our teachers are fully vaccinated.
• Masks are optional 

You are your child's best teacher! No matter how you might feel about the sound of your own voice, to your child it is the best sound in the world. Just as our children grow into more confident and competent music makers, with practice and continued music activities at home and in class- your skill can improve as well. So, get silly, sing loudly, and dance like your baby is watching! 

We know that little ones learn through play and observation, which is why your role in the class is so valuable. Grown ups are encouraged to participate by singing and following along during classes, providing the model for class participation and immersing their little one in a musical environment.

We promise there will not be any solo performances- our group is very supportive and keeps each other in tune. ❤️

We have one extra week worked into our schedule in case of unexpected cancellation- specifically due to illness,  weather or short term teacher illness. 

In the event of a long term class cancellation due to COVID-19 virus, extreme weather, or other uncontrollable circumstances: If possible, our first option for health and safety is to move INDOOR classes to an outdoor location.

In-person classes have the option to be held online via Zoom at the scheduled class time. We'll provide support and communication for you given a change of circumstances or social gathering restrictions.

Every effort will be made to continue to provide the opportunity for our Songful Families to make music together.
